Regional Adult Education

1) The purpose of Regional Adult Education, PD 16 is to provide information and instruction to adults seeking to improve their basic academic skills. Participants set goals to gain employment, improve job status, enter postsecondary training, and enhance their standard of living.

2) Specific services and resources provided by Regional Adult Education

a) Instruction in reading comprehension, writing skills, and applied math.

b) Preparation for taking the GED (General Educational Development) test

c) Administration of the GED test

d) English language skills for adults whose primary language is not English

e) Customized workplace instruction for basic academic skills

f) Referrals for volunteer tutor instruction
