Germanna
Community College is one of the twenty-three community colleges in
Virginia that comprise the Virginia Community College System.
It is a two-year public institution of higher education established
in 1970. The College takes pride in serving the residents of Caroline,
Culpeper, King George, Madison, Orange, Spotsylvania, and Stafford
counties and the City of Fredericksburg.

Germanna
Community College Center for Workforce & Community Education is a
division of Germanna Community College dedicated to the continuous
improvement of the community through adult education non-credit classes,
seminars, workshops, consulting, and assessment and training
services. The Center advances the quality of life in the community
by providing life-long learning opportunities intended to enhance
personal, economic and regional development. Our
open-enrollment training programs are scheduled to allow flexibility for
the working adult. These
curricula can also be tailored to individual organizations and offered on
site. The Center offers:

Customized
Training Programs:
Our quick response training provides tailored training programs for
business, industry and governmental agencies. Call (540)

Locust Grove Campus.

Pre-Employment
Training: The
Center assists new or expanding companies in developing and presenting
pre-employment training programs.
We assess abilities, vocational interests, and aptitudes of
prospective employees. We
work directly with the Workforce Services Division for Virginia’s
Department of Business Assistance and the Virginia Employment
Commission.

Computer
Courses:
We provide customized contract computer software training on campus or
at your organization’s location.
You receive quality instruction with value pricing to meet your
specific needs. In
addition, we offer a variety of open-enrollment computer courses, such
as: Microsoft Office, Windows, desktop publishing, personal computer
maintenance and hardware. We
also provide certification testing in many technical areas.

Cisco:
Our Cisco program consists of three courses leading to CCNA
certification. The Cisco
program teaches skills needed to design, build and maintain small to
medium-sized networks. Courses
leading to CCNP certification are also offered upon request.

Motorcycle
Safety:
This 15-hour course is designed to teach the fundamentals of
operating a motorcycle. Classroom
lecture and actual riding instruction are included.

We offer a variety of training programs, just for the career changer.
